Dance: Changing Young Lives. International Seminar
Sadler’s Wells is honoured to be bringing to the UK three guest international speakers presenting inspirational examples of their work. From rehabilitating boy soldiers in Sierra Leone, addressing issues of trafficking, violence and child exploitation in India and promoting empowerment, integration and acceptance in Cambodia – dance has been used as a tool to change young lives for the better.
Of particular interest to arts managers, artists, practitioners, teachers, and youth services the seminar will seek to explore and celebrate the power of dance on young people’s lives. Delegates will benefit from informal networking and sharing in addition to coming away inspired by three stories demonstrating how dance can be used to engage and rejuvenate young people who have been faced with extraordinary challenges in their home or personal lives
