Bring a buffet dish, vote for Dance UK's board members and enjoy a social dance with friends and colleagues

Join us for the Dance UK members event of the year!

This year our AGM will be held at the famous Cecil Sharp House, one of London’s oldest purpose built dance spaces and home of Dance UK member, the English Folk Dance and Song Society which has generously donated the space in support of Dance UK.

As you may know, Dance UK’s regular funding from Arts Council England comes to an end in April 2012. Over the last month we’ve begun a review of what Dance UK does and how the sector feels about the services and support we offer. This is to help us plan for the future and to inform applications to Arts Council England and other funders for alternative money for Dance UK. We are very much looking forward to sharing some of the early findings with you

This  meeting will provide the perfect opportunity for you to put across your individual and collective concerns and ideas, whilst getting together with fellow members, friends and colleagues for an enjoyable and fruitful evening.

You will also have the chance to meet and vote for Dance UK’s board members. As those of you who have attended before know, the AGM provides a chance for the dance community to share and reflect, plan ahead and generally feel supported as part of a wide network of professionals working towards common goals. This year we’ll be having a ceilidh after we’ve finished all the official business!

Please do come to the Dance UK Annual General Meeting in London on 6 December as our members’ support is crucial to our work. We would be grateful if you could let us know if you can attend by contacting Nouska on 020 7713 0730 or email nouska@danceuk.org. Nouska can also help if you need an interpreter or have any special access requirements.
