Membership fees and application form

Dance UK membership includes national and international dance organisations, individuals working in dance (performers, choreographers, managers, medical practitioners etc) and those who simply support dance.

Membership types and fees:

Membership of Dance UK is open to individuals and organisations There are two types of membership:

• Individual membership: £25 (including VAT)
  - If you are a student or have graduated in the last 12 months: £17.50 (including VAT).
  - If you want to join the UK Choreographers Directory, the fee is £40 in addition to individual membership fee.
  - Valid for 12 months from the month you joined.
  
  
• Corporate membership: Based on the organisation's annual turnover.
  - The rates are listed on the corporates membership application form and are based on a financial year (Beginning of April - End of March).
  

Membership of the Association of Dance of the African Diaspora (ADAD @ Dance UK) is open to individuals and organisations and includes membership of Dance UK.

Joining procedure:

Individual membership

1. Application form: Please download and complete the application form. Remember to provide a valid email address.
2. Payment: Send the completed application form by post to us with your payment. You could pay your membership fee by:

• Cheques
  - Please make cheques payable to Dance UK
  
• Standing order
  - Please note that Standing Order is different from Direct Debit. Paying by Standing Order means that Dance UK do not hold your bank details, nor is in charge of setting up payments. Read more about the differences of Standing Order and Direct Debit here.
• Bank transfer in Sterling (For overseas payment)
  -  Please use the following details:

  - Your bank might charge you a fee to make an overseas transfer.
  - Please contact Dance UK once you have made the transfer so we could keep an eye on the payment. We normally receive the payment within seven working days.
  

Alternatively, you are more than welcome to visit our office in London and join on the spot and pay by cash.

"How long does it take to process my membership application?"
Within five working days. You will receive a confirmation email when your application has been processed.

"When will I get my membership pack?"
Membership packs are sent at the beginning of each month. So for example, if we receive your application in January (no matter on the 1st, 15th or 31st), you should receive your pack at the beginning of February. Please let us know if you want your pack urgently.

"I need my membership number to purchase an insurance urgently."
Again, please let us know - call, or state on your application form. We will process your application as soon as we receive the paperwork and give further instructions for purchasing the insurance.

Corporate membership

1. Post your completed application form and we will send an invoice.
   
2. You could also send the payment with your application form, as stated above in the "Individual Membership" section.

Please note that we moved to Finsbury Town Hall, Rosebery Avenue, London EC1R 4QT in March 2007. It is this address which is correct and should be used in all correspondance. The membership leaflet here does still have our old address, at BAC, Lavender Hill on it, as it is a PDF. This will be corrected when the leaflet is redesigned, so please ignore this for the time being.
