What is Core Stability?

Author:
Warrick McNeill
Summary:
Physiotherapists use the term 'core stability' to describe what many dancers refer to as being 'pulled up'. Related disciplines such as Pilates and Yoga are also aware of the importance of core stability as the physical foundation or anchor point for movement control. This helps to reduce the risk of injury to the dancer.
