Transitions Dance Company was founded by Bonnie Bird in 1982, and was the first company of its kind anywhere in the world. The company aims to bridge the gap between training and a professional performance career for graduate dancers, as company members gain experience of life in a dance company while completing their MA Dance Performance. Distinguished Transitions alumni include Emma Gladstone (Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Dance Umbrella), Luca Silvestrini (Protein Dance) and Matthew Bourne OBE (New Adventures). Led by Artistic Director David Waring, and benefiting from generous support from the Leverhulme Trust, Transitions Dance Company is based at the stunning RIBA Stirling prize-winning Laban Building in Deptford, South East London.http://www.trinitylaban.ac.uk/transitions-dance-company/about-transitions-dance-company
